The 2023 in-person Leadership Institute, beginning April 2023, is designed to groom real estate professionals into future leaders of their community and in organized real estate.

All classes will be held in-person at SRAR. We will move to a virtual format if necessary according to health and safety concerns. 

Governmental Affairs & Advocacy

This course will teach participants the importance of advocacy and give an introduction to Governmental Affairs outreach done at the Association. The course will also cover, Realtor Action Fund, Governmental Affairs Director Role, and an overview of Government. History of organized Real Estate. (Opportunity to attend virtual Legislative Day, details to follow.)

Professional Standards & Ethics/Arbitration

This course covers professional standards guidelines and procedures, the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics,  advertising guidelines and Procurring Cause/Arbitration.

Mechanics of an AOR

This course will cover the relationship with C.A.R. (California Association of REALTORS) and NAR (National Association of REALTORS), the SRAR Strategic Plan, an introduction to committees, the roles of leadership on committees, and member benefits.

MLS/Technology
August 25, 2023 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
This course covers the rules of MLS, assessment schedule and hearing panels for violations, as well as tips on how to avoid assessments.  Additionally, the course will cover MLS technology, listing syndication and understanding listing data.
